Train the Trainer

1, 2 & 3 Day Courses with optional ILM Certification

Who Is This Course For?

This course is designed for anyone who wants to design and deliver highly engaging and motivational training courses.  It is recommended as a first course for newcomers to training, and can be adapted for more experienced trainers seeking to refresh and learn new techniques.

We have the perfect balance between theory and practice.  All delegates are asked to bring a short training session with them, relevant to what they will deliver for real.  All theory is directed back towards each person’s short session to enable both understanding and practical application.

What Will Learners Gain From Participation?

By the end of an etimes2 Train the Trainer programme, learners will be able to design and deliver highly engaging training courses.  You will:

  • Know what makes training courses great
  • Understand the difference between ‘knowledge’ and ‘understanding’ and be able to achieve the latter in your training
  • Know the psychology of learning and memory and be able to structure your training to maximise learning
  • Understand the dynamics within training groups and workplaces and know how to deal with these to deliver a great learning experience
  • Know how to grab your learners’ attention and maintain engagement throughout

What is my approach on this course?

Our Train the Trainer is a practical blend of delivery, feedback and application of theory.

From my experience of training and attending Train the Trainer programmes, I believe that participants on a Train the Trainer course benefit more from practical application based on theory rather than a heavily theoretical programme with a short delivery session at the end.

On this course, learners will deliver 3 times with feedback, enabling them to apply their learning and test it.  This approach gives the participant a solid context in which to apply the theory and my 3-step model (ABC) ensures s/he will rethink how training is structured and prepared. The result is an intense and enjoyable learning experience.

FAQs

Is this course suitable for new/inexperienced trainers?

Yes, absolutely.  Our practical focus is perfect to get new or inexperienced trainers off to a great start.  We work with delegates building them up towards delivering a polished training session.  Our approach is to get each delegate delivering very short sessions right from the start so they can get feedback.  Opportunities to implement that feedback is built into the course allowing the learners to work on and improve their training sessions and delivery.

Can this course be delivered in your company?

Yes.  This course is perfect for inhouse delivery. If this sounds right for you, please contact us for a chat.
