This interactive course provides a successful approach to rapidly develop a new team or to invigorate and revitalise an existing team.  You will greatly increase the effectiveness of the team you lead using the tools and techniques provided in this course.

 

Managers, supervisors, project leaders, team leaders, and team members will benefit from attendin this course.

 

This is an entry level course and there are no prerequisites in terms of prior learning.  Participants should, however, complete the employee engagement diagnostic and reflect on the results prior to attending.

    By the end of this one day programme on High Performing Teams, learners will know how to develop a clear strategy to convert your team from great to ‘high performance’ following 4 key steps.  You will:

    • Be able to establish a clear sense of purpose within the team
    • Be able to develop a clear direction and vision to motivate and drive the team towards achievement of the vision
    • Translate organisational objectives into team and individual objectives
    • Be able to evaluate team performance and create team and individual development plans to achieve targets
    • Understand the role of employee engagement and engaging leadership in high performing teams
    • Know how to motivate, engage and empower team members to exceed expectations

     

    Course Highlights

    Each participant receives a free employee engagement survey & real time feedback for his/her team.

     

    Approach

    In this practical and interactive course, you will develop a clear strategy to convert your team from great to ‘high performance’ following 4 key steps.  You will be given a toolkit to complement each step – purpose; embedding; nurturing; and recognition.

    An MSc Occupational Psychology graduate from the School of
    Psychology, Queen’s University of Belfast , Nigel has over 23 years’
    experience across the sectors – public, private and not-for-profit.

    His relaxed and friendly styles enables conversational training where learners feel safe to explore, discuss and even disagree with the topics being delivered. Nigel believes these conversations are fundamental to learning, allowing the learner to connect new concepts with previous experiences.
